Might as well use good old Krylon Flat Black, but you'll want to do two or three THIN coats, because if it goes on too thick it gets shiny!! Alternate would be a thickish black cloth (easier to find at Halloween…)3M has a ultra-flat black which is used in optics, but it’s really really expensive. Use Krylon – any hardware store.I'd suggest putting in some color in here and there, like theatres do. – and if you want to "deaden" the room acoustically, go get some dark heavy fabrics to drape on the walls – anything to cut down the reverberations from the sound system. The thicker the better, although best would be to put acoustic tile on the walls and ceiling, and fabric over that to make the room more livable!!!My 0.02, Happy 2008! 10 months ago i believe, you're right! thanks

- Chosen by Voters I guess light blue or maybe blue only could be nice for your family's room .. It may look outstanding
Or maybe gold
It is also a nice color for the family room

- Chosen by Voters play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_…A warm yellow like "june day" (# 6682) would look wonderful. 4 years ago 100% 1 Vote

- Chosen by Voters If you are painting over top of a colour that is very close to the new colour, you can get away with one coat. There are also some paints that claim that one coat is sufficient because their paint is quite thick. 1 year ago 100% 1 Vote 1 person rated this as good
You have just under 600 s/f of wall space ( not taking out any for doors or windows) .. A gallon of paint ( on average) will do 350 s/f (+ or – a bit) . You ll have to do at least 2 coats to go from a darker shade to a lighter shade. You may even want to consider a primer or a paint like Kilz to help stop the lavender from showing through so you may need a gallon to do just that. Lots of painting in my home owner ship.. - Chosen by Voters I would do either a whisper of colour – so cream with an accent of green or pink, or I would do the top a warm cream, and the bottom a brighter colour with a border to divide. 2 years ago 100% 1 Vote 2 people rated this as good
I say paint it bright yellow. And then have a black and white bedspread. Here's an idea of how good bright yellow and black and white look together
